The Convict Indentures state that Catherine Johnson was 25 years old. She could read; religion Protestant; status single and a native of Dublin County. She was a laundress and nursery maid. Catherine was convicted of shop lifting at Dublin City on 13 January 1837 and sentenced to 7 years. She had two prior convictions and served 6 months and 3 months. Physical attributes: Height 5 feet 2 1/4 inches, complexion ruddy and freckled; hair brown and eyes hazel. Transport number 125. Prisoner number 124-38. Received Certificate of Freedom in 1846 (number 46/947).
