*** 2 John Johnson's on this voyage ** 2nd John Johnson was tried at Old Bailey. John Johnson alias Scoot/or Scott was listed as 18 years old on arrival. Native Place: Durham. Occupation: Attorney's clerk. Transported for 'Obtaining goods under false pretences'. John was literate, protestant, single, 5'5" tall, pale, slightly freckled complexion, brown hair, hazel grey eyes. No place of assignment given. Later Sent to Norfolk Island. 13/8/1834: Permission to marry Julia Young (came free) - John was 21 and on bond. At Windsor, NSW. No registration found on the NSW BDM. 23 John Johnson's as convicts in NSW, could not track him. A Julia A Young married Wynn Baldwin in Sydney in 1836. 13/7/1844: COF.
