JOHNSTONE Thomas (Johnstone) arrived in NSW as a convict on 16 7 1820 after a voyage of 4months on NEPTUNE; he was Protestant. He was recorded as a settler in 1822. He had a relationship with Ann (Beer her fourth relationship). He is recorded in 1828 Free by Servitude farmer 43acres at Portland Head with Ann (Beer) & 1child. Thomas (Johnston) does not have an entry on this Website as yet-added by me. Ann (Beer/Beard) was born on 1 9 1782 & baptised in Denton Kent & became a house servant. She was tried for larceny at Kent Assizes on 15 3 1797, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict with her sister Elizabeth on 18 7 1798 after a voyage of 6months on BRITANNIA. She is recorded in 1806 with her first (1of4) relationship - John (Coker). She had a second (2of4) relationship with Edward (Ewing his first relationship) & produced 1child. She was Free by Servitude by 1809. She is recorded in 1828 housekeeper for Thomas (Johnstone) with 1child at Portland Head. After her spouse died she lived with daughter Hannah. She died on 1 6 1875 age92 mother of 5known children.
