Thomas Jolliffe was 24 years old on arrival in VDL and was transported for "Stealing Calico". Thomas was single, hazel eyes, flaxen hair, fresh complexion 5'9 1/4" tall, 2 moles inside left arm, one above elbow, 1 below. 17/3/1842: TOL 1843: COF 1843: Applied to marry Ann Hannah Alexander (Majestic). Permission refused twice, once after Thomas had become free. 10/9/1846: Passenger per "Minerva" Launceston to Portland, Victoria. 1862: Married Ann Duffy, (1834-1908) 27, born in Edinburgh, household servant. They had 7 known children. 1880: Thomas died of Pulmonary Congestion at Ellerslie, Vic., and is buried at the Warrnambool Cemetery.
