The Assizes for Somerset commenced Taunton on Thursday the first instant. There were 58 prisoners for trial, eleven of whom were capitally convicted, and received sentence death, viz. ... and Elizabeth Jones, for stealing cloth. The three first are left for execution, the rest were reprieved.  Gloucester Journal, 12 April 1802.
