James Jones was convicted at Gloucester 9 April 1827 for Burglary - house breaking, with two other persons. One other was executed. I was left to be executed by commuted to life sentence and transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'William Miles' 1828. (Previous offence for assault.) Single man. Native place - Bristol. Assigned to W. Archer. Conditional Pardon. Accidentally killed 11 Dec 1835.
