Family connections for John (Jones) are: JONES John (Jones al Wilkins-maybe his mothers name) was born about 1770. He was convicted at London Gaol Delivery, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW on 30 9 1817 after a voyage of 5months on LORD ELDON. His Ticket of Leave was issued by 1829 when he married Mary Ann (Piper her third marriage) with permission of her parents on 17 12 1829 at Holy Trinity Kelso Abercrombie District. [Some details taken from John (Jones) entry on this Website] Mary Ann (Piper) was born on 5 11 1806 & baptised on 15 4 1807 at St Phillips CofE Sydney; (the baptismal date may be only as recorded at SPS, not the actual place of baptism). She married firstly (1of3) Thomas David (Batty) on 1 10 1824 at St Phillips CofE Sydney & produced at least 3children. She, as Mary, had a second (2of3) relationship with Willian (Snowden convict). She died in 1882 age about75 mother of at least 4children. Mary Ann (Piper)s family is given in entry for James (Shiers SCARBOROUGH 1788) on this Website.
