The complete factual account of John Jones is contained in ‘No Ordinary Convict: a Welshman called Rebecca’ by Janine Marshall Wood, published 2021 by Forty South, Hobart and also an E-book on Kindle App, Amazon. He was first tried for attempting to shoot at a person intending to do bodily harm (not on the list above). He received other convicts in VDL, and ended up in Port Arthur (where he died) for carnal knowledge of an eleven year old girl. It is claimed that he was the worst convict to be sent to Australia.
