William was literate, single, Protestant, 5'5½" tall, dark sallow complexion, dark brown hair, brown eyes, dark speck on right eye, brown scar back of right hand, scar back of left thumb, scar back of left hand, near the knuckle of forefinger, scar back of same finger. 30/8/1837: TOL Newcastle.
