Family connections for William (Jones) are: Some amendments added Aug 2025. JONES William (Jones) was born about 1800 & became a blacksmith. He was tried at Warwick Assizes, sentenced to 14years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 31 12 1820 after a voyage of 5months on HEBE; he was Protestant. He married Catherine (Hobbs age15) of Pitt Town,with permission, on 22 9 1823 at St Matthews CofE Windsor. In 1825 he was assigned to his wife; he was recorded as a farmer. He is recorded in 1828 with his family as blacksmith at Pitt Town & in 1829 as a blacksmith.. [Some details taken from this Website] Catherine (Hobbs) was born in 1808 at Pitt Town & baptised on 6 6 1822 age about13 w/neice Sarah at St Marys RC Sydney. She is recorded in 1814 off stores with her parents. She was living in Pitt Town in 1823. She is recorded in 1828 with her family at Pitt Town. She died on 25 5 1897 age about52.
