Convicted of a Felony of Tea
Joseph was transported on the Tyne 1819. Colonial Secretary: 31/1/1819: On list of convicts forwarded to Liverpool for distribution. 1823: Servant of Dennis Green of Cabramatta; attestation as to his character for a ticket of leave. 24/1/1824: Illegally at large at Newcastle. 1832: Married Elizabeth Clarke. 1841 Census: Burragarong, County of Westmoreland. District Hartley. 1844-1852: CSreLand Joseph died at Picton and is buried in the Roman Catholic cemetery, Picton.
Tried May 1818, age 16. Convicted of stealing tea. Certificate of freedom granted 7 July 1825, ref NSW Colonial Secretary, Register of Certificates of Freedom 1828-1831: AONSW 4/4425 Certificate no. 22/3980
