I believe the correct name is Dransfield. He was appointed as a police constable in the Illawarra in 1822/3. Seems the drink got the better of him and he was dismissed effective 15 August 1827 (See notice Sydney Gazette 29 August 1827. Dismissal for "drunkenness and gross neglect of duty."
