Family connections for William (Joseph) are: JOSEPH William (Joseph) was tried w/1other at Kingston on Hull Quarter Sessions for Town and County on 19 41787, sentenced to 7years & arrived in NSW as a convict on 9 7 1791 after a voyage of 6months on Fleet ship SALAMANDER; he was sent to Norfolk Island. He had a relationship producing 1child: [Some details taken from this Website.] 1.James (Joseph) was born in 1793 on Norfolk Island. He arrived at Derwent Van Diemens Land (Tasmania) as a single child-probably about 1808 as part of the first evacuation. He married Mary (Free her first marriage) on 23 10 1815 at St Davids CofE Hobart. He died on 22 5 1830 age about37 father of perhaps 9children. ..Mary (Free) was born on 2 7 1799 on Norfolk Island & was baptised age2 on 24 8 1801 on Norfolk Island. On 26 12 1807 she went with her parents as part of the first evacuation on HMS PORPOISE to Derwent Van Diemens Land (Tasmania), arriving on 17 1 1808; to Queensborough/Sandy Bay. She married secondly Edward (Maum) in 1832.
