Digitised Indent for Admiral Barrington. Job Jowitt, tried Assizes for Co. at Northampton, 12 July 1790, 7 years. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yesterday was committed to the Gaol of this Town, Job Jowitt, late Hostler at the Bell Inn, at Buxton, Derbyshire, on violent Suspicion of stealing three Silver Spoons, the Property of Mr. Mills, at the George Inn, this Town.— A Woman with Jowitt cohabited (and who her Examination confessed his having had three Spoons his Possession, answering the Description of those stolen) detained as an Evidence against him. Northampton Mercury, 10 July 1790. Job Jowitt, for stealing three Silver Spoons, the Property of Mr. Mills, The George Inn, in Town, was sentenced to be transported for seven Years Northampton Mercury, 17 July 1790.
