Liverpool Mail Lancashire, England 24 Oct 1839: LIVERPOOL MICHAELMAS SESSIONS Moses Joynson for stealing a watch from the person of Joseph Whitehead. Moses Joynson was listed as 26 years old on arrival. Native Place: Chester. Moses was literate, protestant, single, 5'3½" tall, ruddy and freckled comlexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, eyebrows meeting, lost a fron upper tooth, two scars on forehead, breast hairy, M inside lower right arm, J.J.E.P. inside lower left arm. 1847: TOL Yass 4/7/1847: TOL Passport - on the letter of Mr Robinson. 25/8/1852: COF - Described as: Aged 38, Labourer, Robbing a person, crown of head bald, eyebrows meeting, lost several front teeth upper jaw, two scars on the forehead, breast hairy, M inside lower part of right arm J.J.E.P. inside lower part of left arm. Held TOL No. 47/625 dated 14/8/1847. 8/2/1865: Married Sarah Elizabeth Cross (1836-1912) at Warwick, Queensland. Children: John William Joynson 13/9/1866-7/8/1959. Mary Ann Joynson 24/2/1869-23/3/1936. 15/10/1868: Moses died at Palm Tree Station, Taroom, Qld.
