George Kain was transported for ‘Stealing a coat from Richard Flint’. He was 17 years old on arrival. George was 5’5” tall, brown hair, hazel eyes, pale complexion, single, GK on right arm. 28/4/1842: TOL 13/8/1842 Launceston Examiner: George Kain, charged with forging a discharge from the service of Dr. Gaunt, was sentenced six months hard labour and deprived of ticket-of-leave. 7/4/1843: COF 8/4/1855: George Kain may have drowned when he tried to save a young girl on a boat that was going down. No other mentions of George Kain after this.
