Old Bailey: ELLEN KANAR, Theft > theft from a specified place, 1st February 1836. Offence: Theft > theft from a specified place Verdict: Guilty > no_subcategory Punishment: Transportation ELLEN KANAR was indicted for stealing, on the 27th of January, at St. Giles-in-the-fields, 13 sovereigns, and 1 half-sovereign, the monies of John Carroll, her master, in his dwelling-house. GUILTY , Aged 19— Transported for Life. Listed on NSW Gov. Convict Records as ELIZA Kanar. 1841: Married William Wikey (also listed as WACKEY who arrived per 'Agamemnon' 1820 NSW) at St Johns, Parramatta - Listed as Eliza. 1844: Daughter Caroline J Wikey born. 1846: William born - mother listed as Helen. William died 1848. 1866: Ellen Wikey married John Perry at Parramatta. No death found for William Wikey/or Wackey. 9/10/1890 Sydney Morning Herald: PERRY.-October 4. at the residence of her son-ln-law, George-street. Parramatta, Ellen Perry, in her 74th year. Her end was peace. (Son-in-law was George Boyce who married daughter Caroline in 1860.)
