Committed to York Castle, Ruth Kaye, alias Morrel for robbing John Scott, on the highway, near Leeds, of a leather pocket-book, and five one pound notes. Leeds Intelligencer, 30 July 1821. -------------------------------------------------- COURT. This morning Mr. Justice Holboro passed sentence on the remaining prisoners- John Cocker Barnsley, for forgery, and Ruth Kaye, for highway robbery. Death ; but his lordship intimated the sentence would not be executed. Leeds Intelligencer, 20 Aug 1821. --------------------------------------------------- Friday morning the following female convicts left York Castle, in order to be order to be delivered on board the transportship Mary Ann bound for New South Wales, lying below Woolwich, up the river Thames — Sarah Fenton and Mary Robinson to be transported for life; Ruth Kaye for 14 years; Sarah Hellewell and Elizabeth Ellerbeck, for 7 years each.— Leeds Intelligencer, 26 Nov 1821.
