Wednesday. Thomas Carney and William Hudgings were jointly indicted for a highway robbery, and stealing from the person of John Hay, one watch and appendages, and twelve pence in copper, at Parramatta, on the 6th of October. The prisoner Carney guilty—Hudgins not guilty. Sydney Monitor, 20 Nov 1830 Supreme Court, Thursday 18 November The following prisoners were then placed at the bar, and received sentence : ... Thomas Kearney, convicted of highway robbery. Judgment of death recorded. Sydney Gazette, 20 Nov 1830.
