Edward Kedley was 15 years old and was transported for stealing a till containing 5/2. Edward was 4'9" tall, illiterate, single, protestant, freckled, stout made, slight pockpitted, dark brown hair, grey eyes. His native place was Liverpool. Father: Edward. Mother: Jane Williams/Kedley. Sisters: Jane, Ann, Esther. Brother: Phillip, was listed as being on board with Edward, but could not find him as a convict, however, there was a Phillip Kedley in Sydney, 12/8/1850 sentenced to 3 months gaol with hard labour for assault. 17/4/1845: Released from 1st stage of probation. 17/3/1846: TOL 6/8/1848: COF By 1850 Edward was in NSW. 1858: Married Ann Gill/Fairbairn, born 9/10/1819 in Ratho, Midlothian, she married John Fairbairn in 1841 in Ratho, they had 4 children born in Sydney. Edward and Ann had 2 children, Jane Ann in 1859 and Alexander P E Kedley born in 1861. They were living in Newcastle. 9/12/1862: Sydney Morning Herald - Friends of the late Mrs Ann Kedley are respectfully invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday morning, the 10th Instant. The procession to move from her Mother's residence, Mrs Gill, Woods lande, off Palmer Street, Wooloomooloo at 8.00am. 27/8/1902: Edward Kedley was assaulted, he was living in a hut on the North Rocks Road, Sydney, he was a pensioner, 76 years old. 1913: Edward died at Drummoyne, Sydney.
