Michael Keilly was convicted at Tipperary on 1 Aug 1846 for Highway Robbery - being armed and stealing money at Co. Clare. 15 yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Tory' arriving 18 March 1847. Aged 21yrs; farm labourer; single; 5'4"; Roman Catholic; can read. Native place - Co. Tipperary, Ireland. Father - Thomas Mother - Mary Sisters - Mary, Biddy & Judy Brothers - John, Martin & Thomas Probation Period - 2yrs 6mths. Station Gang - Darlington, Maria Island (east coast Tasmania) 1849 & 1850: at Browns River 1850 & 1851: Sandy Bay & Hobart
