William Driscoll and John Keily, were next charged witli stealing a mare, the property of William Foley, on the 15th December, at Uunoismore. It appeared that the mare was stolen on the above night out the prosecutor’s stable. The prisoner, Keily, was seen driving it in the town of Breuttevant, three days after a Policeman, whn suspecting he had stolen it, took him into custody o t being questioned, he accused the other prisoner Driscoll, of having stolen it, which occasioned his being apprehended. The Jury returned a verdict of Guil y, against the prisoner Keily—Seven years transportation. There appearing no evidence against the other, he was acquitted. Cork Constitution, 5 April 1827.
