Joseph Kelf 20, Thomas Rant 19 and Dennis Greenfield 19, were indicted for burglariously breaking and entering the dwelling house of John Lowden of the hamlet of Heighham, on the 2nd of February last, and stealing therefrom a quantity of plate and other articles. The prisoners were found guilty, against whom there were other bills for similar offences - death recorded. (East Anglian Assizes 1833). 1841: TOL Parramatta 1846: Recommended for CP 30/9/1847: CP 1842: Married Eleanor Roberts at St. James, Sydney. Eleanor died in 1864. They had children, a son also Joseph, he went from a booking clerk in the head telegraph office to to be the Postmaster and electric telegraph stationmaster at Singleton. He was also a council member at Singleton. Perhaps others, but none are recorded in the NSW BDM. 21/12/1876: Syd. Morning Herald - To JOSEPH KELF and Elizabeth Mulhall - Your Father is very ill. Write at once. Direct Joseph Kelf, Hospital, Orange. 1877: Joseph died at Orange aged 71.
