Convict Notes

Margaret Kelly indicted with having feloniously and maliciously enticed Patrick Biscott, a child 3 years old, from his home, with intent to steal his clothes. It appeared from the evidence that this inhuman wretch had not only decoyed this child from its own residence, but a little girl, its sister, another child, for similar purpose. She was detected by Mr. Sacheverel and some other persons behind a wall at some fields, near Harcourt street, with three little creatures stripped nearly naked, shivering and crying with cold, and was immediately selzed. She was fully convicted, and sentenced to seven years’ transportation Dublin Morning Register, 24 March 1830 -------------------------------------------------- Irish Convict Database by Peter Mayberry.
