Convict Notes
In March 1793 Maria/Mary Sarah Kelly aka Maria/Mary Sarah Jackson was convicted in Dublin Ireland and sentenced to seven years transportation, to be served in the colony of New South Wales. Maria/Mary Sarah Kelly was a convict aboard the ship 'Marquis Cornwallis' which saled from Cork, Ireland in August 1795 and arrived Sydney NSW on 11 February 1796 under Capt Hogan. She was transporting 244 men and women when she left Cork. Eight were killed during an attempted mutiny about one month after leaving Cork.
