Mary KELLY was convicted at Carlow, Ireland on 17 June 1850 for Larceny - stealing a shirt. Previous offence. 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Blackfriar' arriving 29 May 1851. Aged 26yrs; housemaid; 4'11 1/4" height; Roman Catholic; Widow, 2 children. Native Place: Co. Carlow, Ireland.
