One woman and 7 children died on the voyage. At least 2 children were born during the voyage. The Surgeon Superintendent was Dr Wylie, R.N. and the Matron, Mrs Evans. The Arabian arrived at Hobart Town, February 25 1847.

SHOPLIFTING. On Monday the instant, three women named Ellen Sheehy, Mary Kenny, and Margaret Tyrrell, were brought before the Mayor and Joseph Greene, Esq., R.M, charged with stealing a parcel containing twelve pieces calico from the shop Mrs Catherine Murphy of street. The parties were arrested on suspicion Head-Constable Lynn, and Sub-Constable Logan, and a quantity of goods found in their possession were identified by Mrs Murphy. Informations were taken against the parties they were fully committed for trial the ensuing Quarter Sessions. Since the committal, the remainder of the goods have been discovered concealed a ditch on the Callan Road. It is remarkable that the prisoner, Ellen Sheehy, who is a notorious shoplifter, was only discharged from confinement on Saturday, and committed the above robbery before night.
