WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 22. BEFORE the Police-Magistrate. DRUNKENNESS. One old man pleaded guilty to a charge of being drunk in a public place; and as he had only been before the court a couple of days previously, he was fined 20s, or seven days to gaol. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY AT THE RAILWAY STATION. Peter Kenny pleaded guilty to this offence, but said he had been waiting at the station several hours for the train. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. The same defendant also pleaded guilty to a charge of using obscene language after his arrest on the previous charge.
