My fifth Great Grandfather. Convicted at the Roscommon Assizes July 1833. Travelled to Norfolk Island selected by Major Joseph Anderson as a Prison Constable (Per Correspondence Colonial Secretary) Ticket of Leave to Live in Yass 1842 Ticket of Leave Passport to work with William Howell on the Murrumbidgee 1846. Conditional Pardon 1848/1851
John Keogh was convicted at Co. Roscommon, Ireland in 1833 for assault & robbery. Life sentence. Transported to New South Wales, Australia on the 'Parmelia' arriving 02/03/1834. Time served at Norfolk Island & New South Wales.
