Many spellings of this man's name: If you are searching look at all possibilities. James was 22 years old on arrival, his native place was Kildare County - no crime listed. Colonial Secretary Papers: KEENAN, James. Per "Ann and Amelia", 1825 1825 Jan 5: On list of convicts landed from the "Ann and Amelia" and forwarded to Parramatta for distribution (Reel 6014; 4/3513 p.198) 1825 May, Oct: On lists of convicts employed by William Lawson; from Jan 1825. Also listed as Kenan (Reel 6062; 4/1782 pp.51a, 57a) No record of him on the NSW Gov. Convict records - Neil on 7th March, 2017 wrote of James Keenan: He was given his Freedom Certificate 20th Jan 1832 and left Australia (Moderator: **Not on** the Ann and Amelia ship. He stayed in England and became a school teacher.
