Michael Gready and James King were convicted (on the evidence of Wm. Marrison, an accomplice) of having stolen on the 18th of Dec. last, 29 yards of super, fine cloth and a greatcoat, the property of John Cocks, of St. Peter of Mancroft, tailor, and both sentenced to seven years' transportation. James King was further indicted for having stolen a greatcoat and two umbrellas, the property Thos. Sadler, St. Peter of Mancroft, on Dec. last, to which he pleaded guilty, and Thomas Tillett, was convicted of receiving the same knowing them to be stolen, and sentenced to 14 years' transportation. To support this case likewise, the evidence of the accomplice, Wm. Marrison, was rendered necessary to bring the charge of receiving the cloth home to who stated he had bought it six months ago.
