Convict Notes




James King, for a burglary in the house of John Elmer, of Boxford, and stealing eight 5£. notes, ten 1£ notes, a silver tea-spoon, , a pair of silver studs, &c. Bury and Norwich Post, 5 April 1820. Saturday, eleven male convicts were removed from Bury Gaol, lie put on board the hulks at Portsmouth, viz. John Austin, John East, Isaac Wordley, and Jas. King, to be transported for life; John Bennett and John Flack, for years; and Joseph Bumpsted, George Gladwin, George Cross, Thomas Sturgeon, and Thomas Smith, for 7 years.
