Convicted of stealing a copper bottoms from a mine. Father of Charles Henry Knight (Thomas Arbuthnot 1847) and John Knight. Wife Johanna, nee Friend - married 1829 at East Stonehouse, Devon. Died at the Colonial Hospital Hobart May 1842.
