William Knott was 21 years old on arrival; native place: Lancashire. William could read, was protestant, single, 5'4" tall, dark sallow complexion, dark brown hair, brown eyes, mole on right cheek, another under left ear. 15/9/1843: Tried at Sydney QS for Larceny - 'House breaking and stealing a dressing case' - 7 years. 10/3/1844 Arrived Norfolk Island. 19/6/1846: Arrived VDL per 'Lady Franklin' - 1 year at Port Arthur. 6/3/1849: TOL 2/3/1853: Steerage passenger, Launceston to Melbourne per 'Yarra Yarra' - Free by servitude.
