Convict Notes

Ebenezer KNOX is my direct ancestor. Can the anonymous contributors contact me please.
Son of William Knox and Janet Smail. Had an illegitimate son with Betty Younger, the sister of John Younger a well known Scottish writer. The son was called George Knox.
He was born in roxburghshire, scotland, invested in East Lothian Bank, was found guilty of forging Bank notes . He was transported on the Lady Castlereagh for 14 years. He was supposed to go to Van Deimen's Land but managed to be 1 of 39 who got off at Sydney. He became a fairly habtual theif mostly of cattle but was finally caught in 1835 and sent to Norfolk Island. Somehow, I'm not sure how he ended up dieing in hospital in Port Macquarie
