In the colony, Catherine commenced a relationship with John Mitton (Convict, Albermarle, 1791). They don't appear to have married. They were still using their separate surnames in the St John's baptism register when christening their estimated 4th child Keziah in 1810. No likely birth registrations either before or after that year can be found. However, the couple had a long term relationship and had 8 children (% girls and 3 boys) between 1801 and 1825.
