James was listed as 23 years old on arrival. Native Place: Canterbury. Transported for 'Stealing Linen'. James was single, literate, 5'5½" tall, ruddy complexion, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, tattoos, two marks on forepart of neck. Assigned to the Dept. of Public Works. 1832: Married Mary Daly at St. Marys' Sydney. (Mary Daly 1817-24/8/1906 was the child of convict, Honora McClue who arrived per 'Elizabeth' 1818. James and Mary had 13 children. 25/3/1834: TOL Paterson. 10/6/1837: COF. 30/8/1837: Newcastle Gaol Description Book. State Archives NSW; Roll: 137 (Ancestry). Blacksmith from Kingston. Admitted to Newcastle gaol from Dungog. Committed for trial for cattle stealing. Listed as Latham. 5/6/1842: Admitted to Newcastle gaol from Paterson charged with feloniously stealing and selling a bullock. Sent for trial. Listed as Lulham (Lalham). James Lulham died at Brookfield, Williams River, registered at Clarence Town, NSW - Parents listed as John and Elizabeth.
