The 1825 Journey. The ship Mariner, Captain Fotherley, arrived from Ireland with female prisoners, on Sunday evening. She left the Cove of Cork, the 12th of March, and brings 112 female prisoners, having lost only one on the passage. A few passengers also came per this opportunity. Ann Lang was sent to Moreton Bay Penal Settlement. Moreton Bay Convict Record. Ann Lang, per Mariner 2, Tried at Dublin City 28 Sept 1824, Felony money, Life, Servant. Colonial conviction: Gen Sessions, Parramatta, 2 Oct 1830, Mutinous and turbulent conduct in the factory and being the ringleader of the 3rd Class who attempted to break out. 3 years. Returned to Sydney, 22 Oct 1833.

Medical and surgical journal of the Mariner convict ship from 30 December 1824 to 15 August 1825 by Harman Cochrane, surgeon and superintendent, during which time the said ship was employed on a voyage to New South Wales. Folios 8-10: Ann Lang, aged 27, convict: disease or hurt, sea sick and oppression at the scorbrinlus cordis with a little difficulty performing respiration. Put on sick list, 10 March 1825 at Cove of Cork. Discharged 7 May 1825.
