George LANGLANDS was convicted at Wellington, New Zealand on 8 Sept 1846 for Burglary. 15 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Castor' Nov 1846. He stated he had gone to the Swan River (? Western Australia) in 1830 per the ship 'Napoleon'. He had then gone to New Zealand in 1842 per the ship 'Peruvian'. He was co-convicted with Davis & Price, also transported. His occupation was given as a labourer/whaler and married with 1 child.
