David Langley was born David Ottolangui, son of Israel Ottolangui and Amelia Miryam Halevy. He left his wife Phillis Skinner and their six children, travelling to San Francisco where he formed a relationship with Esther Harris and had three more children. He died there on 19 Jul 1882 at 11 Louisa Street.

Married Phillis Skinner (convict) 26 Sep 1836, Hobart. Deserted his wife and children, went to San Francisco and started a new family. Died in San Francisco.
