ADM 101/44/10/1 A diary for 22 August 1822 to 1 March 1823 by Robert Espie of the treatment and regulation of 97 female convicts, and 23 children, together with 21 free women (passengers, and 49 of their children), embarked on board the Lord Sidmouth at Woolwich in September 1822 for passage to Van Dieman's Land and New South Wales. Folio 13: 11 October 1822 at sea. Inoculated a child belonging to a woman named Larkins.




Carlisle Police-Office.— ... Bridget Larkin, the woman indicted at the last city Sessions, was detected Saturday last, in passing base money, but not under such circumstances as to authorize a committal. Westmoreland Gazette, 23 Feb 1822 Carlisle City Sessions Bridget Larkin and Hannah Cooper, were put to the bar. on charge of stealing a bonnet and some ribbon, the 6th inst. the properly of Margaret Henderson, The Jury found both Guilty. The Court sentenced Larkin to be transported seven years, and Cooper to be imprisoned six months. . Cumberland Pacquet, 22 April 1822.
