13 June 1832 obtained certificate of freedom




Together with Owen Sullivan & a man named Fitzgerald tried for the suspicious death & forging the will of John Cahill. Sullivan was sentenced to death - unknown penalty for Leary.




Cornelius Leary age 28. Married with 2 children. Farm labourer from Co. Kerry. Tried at Tralee. Sentenced to 7 years transportation for cow stealing.




Correction: his trial was in 1825.
