At Launceston, David Leary, per Argyle, tried at Launceston on the 18 Jun 1872 for assault, served 1 month, native place London, age 73 years, 5 feet 2 inches high, grey hair, man and woman left arm, M.L.E.L. and D.L. right arm. Tasmania Police Gazette, 26th July 1872, p124.
