OCT. 23. - Arrived the barque Kinnear, Lidderdale master, from Dublin 10th July, with 180 male prisoners, Surgeon Superintendent - G. J. Fox, Esq. The guard consists of Captain Bull (with Mrs. Bull, 4 children, and 1 female servant), and 30 rank and file of the 99th Regt., - 4 women, and 6 children. Colonial Times (Hobart) 25 Oct 1842.

Tasmanian Conduct Record: https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON33-1-28$init=CON33-1-28p103 6761. John Leatham. Tried at Antrim 12 April 1842, sentence, 7 years, transported for Larceny. Gaol report, Very good. Frequently in prison but once convicted before. Married, Stated this offence: Stealing 30 lbs of butter. Once for assault, 6 months, being a receiver of stolen goods, viz a watch, 6 weeks & acquitted bags 1 month 3 days, once for a turkey, 6 weeks & acquitted. Married, 2 ch. Wife, Isabella. Surgeon’s report (on ship) employed with hold. Conduct very good, useful, recommended. Trade, storeman and starch maker, age 29. native of Belfast. Protestant, can read and write. 7 July 1846 – Ticket of Leave. C.P. App. 9 Jan 1849. Colonial Times, Hobart, 22 Sept 1848. CONVICT DEPARTMENT. Comptroller-General's Office, Sept. 18, 1848. In accordance with the Act of Council 6th Victoria, No. 18, I hereby give notice, for the first time, that His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased to approve of the solemnization of Matrimony between the under-mentioned parties :— John Latham, T.L., Kinnear, and Mary Murray, free, both residing in Hobart Town.
