6761. John Leatham. Tried at Antrim 12 April 1842, sentence, 7 years, transported for Larceny. Gaol report, Very good. Frequently in prison but once convicted before. Married, Stated this offence: Stealing 30 lbs of butter. Once for assault, 6 months, being a receiver of stolen goods, viz a watch, 6 weeks & acquitted bags 1 month 3 days, once for a turkey, 6 weeks & acquitted. Married, 2 ch. Wife, Isabella. Surgeon’s report (on ship) employed with hold. Conduct very good, useful, recommended. Trade, storeman and starch maker, age 29. native of Belfast. Protestant, can read and write.
7 July 1846 – Ticket of Leave.
