The guard consists of Lieutenant Donelan, 57th Regt, with a detachment of the same corps. Dr. Osborne, R. N. is the Surgeon Superintendent. Passengers, Mr. Drew and Mr. Stubbs. An order has received the High Sheriff of the county, to stay the execution of William Power and James Wool, found guilty of uttering forged notes of the Bank Ireland; Jeremiah M‘Carthv, for highway robbery Malachy Dawley sen., Malachy Dawley, jun., Michael Dawley and John Broderick, for burglary and felony near Kanturk; William Fitzgerald, James Condon, Edmund Condon and John Lee for burglary and felony near Michaelston; William Ryan and Thomas Fitzgibbon also for burglary and felony- all all of whom were sentenced to die the 1st June. Drogheda Journal, 1 May 1824.
