Mark Lees was 30 years old on arrival in VDL and his native place was Purfield, Somerset. Mark was 5’6” tall, fresh complexion, brown hair and whiskers, grey eyes, S P M L heart on right arm, single. 1833 Muster: Assigned to Mr Storey 1835 Muster: Public Works. 23/6/1842: TOL 26/8/1845: CP for any country except Europe. No marriage or children found. 1872: was an invalid at the Brickfields Pauper Establishment. 16/10/1874: Died at the Brickfields Pauper Establishment of General Debility aged 69. He was listed as a Labourer. Mark was buried on the 19/10/1874 at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery, Paupers Section.
