Is this her offence? APPREHENSION OF FOWL-STEALERS. The fowl houses of the different farmers of Meath and la)uth, having been lately plundered at night, and information being given Mr. M’Cartney, our Chief Constable, that the fowl house of Barton Tandy, Esq., of Mornington, was robbed on Tuesday night of a number of geese, turkeys, &c., he ordered immediate search to made, when Constables Starr, Sharpies, and M’Auley, succeeded in apprehending three notorious offenders in a house at Sunday’s gate, namely Michael Keegan, Mary Lennon, and Anne Murphy, and found nearly the whole of the stolen property in their possession ; they were brought before Captain Anderson, and fully committed to abide their trial at the next Assizes of Trim. Drogheda Conservative Journal, 9 Feb 1839. Ann Murphy was transported on this ship.
