Margaret Letham, 37 yrs, married with 1 child, a servant, convicted of theft, sentenced to 7 yrs at Glasgow on the 11 Jan 1848. Also, 5 times previously convicted of theft, 11 times fraud & 5 times committed for breaches of the peace. Prison Registers and Statistical Returns - page 177 1843-1850 HO 24/12
