Solomon Levine was 52 years old when convicted, along with Edward Beamon (Also on the Susan) for receiving 6000 yards of calico, value £120 and 18 yards of canvas, value £1 the goods of Alexander Forbes and others, wellknowing the goods to have been stolen. Surgeon's Report: Troublesome and litigious. Solomon was 5'6" tall, black to grey hair, brown eyes, fresh complexion, jewish, widower (no children listed). 26/6/1849: TOL 2/9/1851: CP 21/2/1866: The Mercury, Hobart: Solomon Levin/Lewin died at his lodgings in Collins Street, after a protracted and painful illness, aged 80??
