Gloucester Sessions commenced on Tuesday, and a very full bench of Magistrates attended on the occasion. … Joseph Cripps, esq; M.P. taking the chair in the Crown Court, where there were 79 prisoners for trial. At the breaking up of the Court the following were the sentences:— Transportation.— —Seven Years. ... and George Lewis for obtaining by false pretences, a quantity of coals, from T. Dowell, Berkeley.
